What Is a Delegation Request in Local Government, and What Is Its Purpose?
A delegation request is permission to speak directly to Mayor and Council. In Delta it is governed by Bylaw 8330, not by an unrestricted right in the Local Government Act. It is not the same as delegation of authority.
What Delta Repealed, Replaced, and Changed | 2022–2026
The record shows a broad rewriting of Delta’s governing machinery: old bylaws were repealed, authority was delegated, committees were reorganized. It does not show that every change was a loss of residents’ rights, or that four councillors alone made those decisions.
